Cyopets 2007: The Year In Review

8th of April - When it all started...

On the 8th of April, 2:44pm Cyo-time, users were able to log into Cyopets for the very first time.

21st of April - Forums

The Cyopets forum was an integral part of the site's development, and facilitated one of the most popular forms of player interaction.

18th of May - Cyomail

From this day forward, users were able to send one another messages through cyomail.

---

23rd of May - Pets!

Cyopets started off with 12 pets available for adoption - the Dogi, Trexel, Sabren, Phog, Celdra, Lumin, Pyon, Laes, Jackyl, Rabbite, Glengar and Neldune.

1st of June - Bank

The bank was introduced on the 1st of June, along with the first game on the site - Coin Toss.

10th of June - Games Room

Today saw the introduction of the Cyopets games room and the second game - Higher or Lower.

16th of July - Grand Opening of Shops

The opening of user and plaza shops alike added a new dimension to our experience of Cyopets.

1st of August - Safety Deposit Box

Despite there not being any random events to steal our hard-earned items, users were able to rest a lot more easily with the implementation of this new feature.

16th of August - Shop Searches

The release of the shop searching feature made life much easier for both buyers and sellers alike. Simultaneously released were: access to sales history, and a counter displaying the numbers of users online at any time.

30th of August - Hidden Avatars

This was the day that some of the avatars which users had been using were made "secret", and we then had the task of unlocking them as they were released at various times. The first two hidden avatars that were released were Creepy and Yummy.

26th of September - Blogs!

Blogs enabled Cyopet users to publish their own content :)

18th of October - Quickstock

The quickstock feature came as a blessing to the users who had been working towards the collector avatar, allowing them to move several items from their inventory to their safety deposit box at once. It also had the additional capabilities of transferrals between a user's shop and inventory, and the option to discard from the shop, inventory or SDB.

21st of October - Instant Messaging

The instant messaging feature was introduced to the site on the 21st of October, making communication much more convenient for all users :)

22nd of October - Halloween Tombola

The Halloween Tombola was a new and exciting feature that was introduced to Cyopets. Users had much fun visiting the Tombola every hour to collect the following items this Halloween season:

Along with these items, Alexs Guide to World Domination and the Gorgeous Plushie were also retired at the conclusion of the Tombola.

12th of November - Mail Facelift

The Cyopets messaging system underwent a much needed facelift today, introducing the convenience of tabs as well as a 25 message limit in exchange for the weekly deletion that previously occurred.

18th of November - Gallery Feature Implemented

For many users, the introduction of galleries presented the dilemma of not knowing what to start collecting! Others immediately began filling their galleries with rare and wonderful treasures (;

25th of November - Random Events

This day marked the start of random events at Cyopets, and was celebrated with the introduction of two new secret avatars - Colourful and Beep! (both of which are obtained whilst browsing the site).

26th of November - Hotel Opened

There was much relief when the hotel feature was implemented, allowing users to book their pets in for a stay of up to 30 days, at the rate of 750 CP per day.

1st of December - Start of the Snowflake Festival

The very first Snowflake Festival saw the introduction of the Advent Calendar to Cyopets. Below is a table detailing the prizes given out by the Advent Calendar in each day of December:
